The coast of Menorca is dominated by steep rock walls, where you can find both small and large caves. And on the other side of the Island soft sandy beaches. And all this is against the background of the green Mediterranean Sea. In your kayak, you are as close to nature as possible.
We paddle in protected nature: since 1993, Menorca has been a protected area and is included as a biosphere reserve in UNESCO's Man and Biosphere program.
Menorca's climate is perfect for kayaking: the air temperature is 17 to 20 degrees and the sea temperature is about 15 to 17 degrees. I have planned the trip together with the local company Kayakin en Menorca. The program includes four day trips in kayaks and one hiking day along the coast. We stay in apartments in the village of Es Grau.
Menorca is a small island. Every day we have the opportunity to choose an area that is protected from the wind. The trip is perfect for both beginners and experienced paddlers. We paddle about 6 - 7 hours a day, take it easy and take many breaks.
The easiest way to get to Menorca is via Barcelona. Flight to Barcelona and from there a short flight to Menorca, the town of Maho. I'll help you buy tickets. You can also combine the trip with Barcelona, staying in the city for a couple of days. Or stay and enjoy Menorca after kayaking.
