One of the most beautiful areas in Lake Finland is the Linnansaari National Park with its hundreds of islands and islets. We paddle in a unique environment, home to the Saimaa ringed seal and the rare White-backed Woodpecker. The area is also home to Finland's largest osprey community. Ospreys are one of the largest birds of prey in Finland. We move around the birds habitat with caution, and if we are lucky we will see the wonderful birds.
Birch tree cultivation was practiced on Linnansaari Island for a long time. Therefore, nature is dominated by deciduous trees, which provide beautiful greenery in the spring. During the trip, we also have time to visit the old ranger's farmhouse, whose lands are still traditionally managed.
